Love Letters
Dear San Francisco,
Why do you make it so easy to do absolutely nothing? You will be the death of me! It's a love/hate thing!
Dear New York,
Why do you inspire me so much? Oh how I long for thee! Can't wait to be back in your arms again!

No Comfort
I was on BART this morning on my way to work when the train just stopped. The operator neglected to let the passengers know what was going on. When the lights went off I got a little paniced. Then all the power went out. I thought I was going to have a full blown panic attack. After about five minutes the operator announced that there was a crew cleaning up "something" on the tracks and that power would come back on when they were done. Approximately ten minutes later we were up and running again. Man that sucked!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles
I missed my flight back to San Francisco. I could have made it, but the staff at American Airlines at JFK seem to think that it's more important to talk about their weekend plans with co-workers than to help passengers waiting in long lines! The next flight wasn't until the morning, so I lugged myself and my luggage back to Brooklyn. The good thing that came out of it was that I had a lovely dinner with Cecilia and Bret at our friend's Eric and Reba's house. I maybe got two hours of sleep before I had to head back to the airport. I would have slept on the plane, but it was freezing, even with the three blankets I requested. I finally made it. Exhausted and chilled to the bone, but I made it!
My friend Dee was kind enough to pick me up from the airport. Thanks Dee! I don't think I could have handled taking anymore public transport at that point.
Dee was working at The Dovre that night, so I went down there for a few drinks. A bunch of friends showed up. It was great seeing everyone. Then we headed over to The Lexington Club for a drink. After that, I'm not sure why I agreed to go, but we went to a Burning Man Decompression party. Not really my thing, but entertaining to say the least. When the event ended, we walked over to The Retox Lounge and danced. Everyone was so wasted at that point, that I had to get out of there, so I took the bus home. I never usually take the bus in San Francisco, but I was so tired.
Yesterday I had Dinner with my dear friends Brooke and Jaime in Oakland. I'm surprised I made it considering the lovely hangover that I had acquired from the night before!
Today it's pouring buckets of rain. At one point this morning it was so windy the apartment actually shook. Unless it was an earthquake, but that seems pretty unlikely with the weather. I think today might be a great day to do absolutely nothing besides watching a little bad television... or maybe a lot!
