Accompanied By Nuns

Last night some friends and I went to an art show at The Convent of Saint Cecilia in Greenpoint. It's run by a priest who apparently has an appreciation for the art community. Every room had an istallation by a different artist. Around 50+ artists.
The space itself is amazing and quite large. Strange to think that at one point, nuns lived there!
I wish I had taken note of which artists did what pieces, but it's hard to take pictures, drink beer AND take notes!

Cold Cut

Wednesday night was the seven year anniversary of Weird at Home Sweet Home. Xeno and Oaklander played an amazing live set. Dreamy cold wave, minimal synth at it's best! Absolutely worth seeing them if you get the chance.

Deconstructo Jacket

I finally got around to taking pictures of the jacket that I made recently. The pattern needs a little work and the fabric could hang better, but overall I am happy with how it turned out. Once I get the pattern to a place I feel comfortable with, I am going to make a version out of wool. Hopefully before the snow hits!!!
