Blinded

Portrait by Brooke Farrington.

Dreams & Flight

Every since I can remember, I have had a reoccurring theme in many of my dreams. Whenever I need to get away from something or someone, or simply just get from point A to point B, I tend to... I guess what you might call... fly? The act is actually a lot less like flying and more like doing jumping jacks in slow motion, that gradually lifts you off the ground like a balloon if you were to bounce it. I have to keep the "jumping jack" motion up or I slowly end up with my feet back down on the ground, where I have to work really hard again to achieve lift off. Which kinda sucks when you are trying to get away from various dangers.
The strange thing is that when I wake up from these dreams, the muscles in my arms and legs are sore, as if I was actually doing jumping jacks in my sleep! What a sight that would be!
